Celexon UHD Optical Fibre HDMI 2.1 8K Active Cable 6m, black £99
Product information “celexon UHD Optical Fibre HDMI 2.1 8K Active Cable 6m, black”
The celexon UHD Optical Fibre HDMI cable is HDMI 2.1 compliant and thus transmits signals at up to 48 Gbps with resolutions up to 8K (7680x4320p @60Hz with up to 12 bit color depth) and 4K (4096x2160p @120Hz with up to 12 bit color depth).
The hybrid fiber optic cable with 4 optical fibers and 8 copper cores enables interference-free transmission of high data rates even over very long distances. For this purpose, the electrical signal in the “Source” connector is converted into light pulses, which are transmitted via the optical fibers to the “Display” connector, where they are converted back into an electrical signal.
Therefore, it is important to observe the direction of installation of the cable.
celexon’s cable is very thin with a diameter of 5.5 mm. With a bending radius of max. 30 mm and 10 circles over the entire cable, it offers a very high degree of flexibility in laying. The very thin and narrow plug allows the cable to be plugged in even in hard-to-reach places. In addition, no other nearby ports are covered by plugging in this connector.
With the help of the new dynamic HDR (High Dynamic Range) processes such as Dolby Vision and HDR10+, not only can a wider dynamic range and color gamut be displayed, making the image more brilliant and detailed, the image optimization is adapted more individually to each image, which also makes rapid color changes between large contrasts (e.g. image changes from white to black) more natural.*
The Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) is the new generation of ARC and is included in the HDMI 2.1 specification. This extension allows up to 32 audio channels to be transmitted with uncompressed 24-bit/192kHz data streams at up to 38 Mbps. This huge increase in bandwidth and speed allows all audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X to be transferred without compression.*
Another feature of this cable is the Automatic Low Latency Mode (ALLM), which will be of particular interest to gamers. This reduces delays by removing the advanced video editing and thus provides the fastest possible response of the display.
The prerequisite for this, in addition to the ALLM-capable TV, is that the source devices deliver a high-quality video signal that can be played back immediately through the display. Thus, no noticeable delay should be perceptible between the button press on the controller and the response time in the image. This allows for an even more direct and precise gaming experience.
All connected and ALLM-capable devices automatically switch to the corresponding mode via handshake with the shortest possible latencies. Even with an intermediate AV receiver, there is no need to make any additional settings.*
The Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) is another feature that the HDMI 2.1 specification brings with it. This synchronizes the refresh rate of the source device and the output device to avoid stuttering and tearing in the image.
The refresh rate can move freely in the range between 30Hz and 144Hz and adjust optimally to reproduce interference-free and sharpest possible images.
Without VRR, this can happen in video games, for example. that parts of the image overlap and several parts of the image build up one after the other (screen tearing). An alternative to circumvent these artifacts without VRR would be to set only the complete throttling of the frame rate or a lower resolution, which would severely affect the quality of the image.*
The additional Ethernet channel allows Internet-enabled AV components to be connected to the in-house network via HDMI cable only. It is therefore sufficient if the TV is connected to the network via cable. The AV receiver or Blu-Ray player then gets the network looped through via HDMI cable in addition to the actual video signal. This eliminates the need for a network switch and additional cables.*
All celexon UHD HDMI fiber optic cables are individually tested for their functionality with high-quality measuring devices. Special attention is paid to the EBR (Error Bit Rate) and only cables with maximum data transmission are sold.
