The 2D-3D Conversion makes it possible to convert images from DVDs and Blu-ray discs into 3D with natural depth perception. So you can watch your prize DVD movie collection in 3D for greater viewing enjoyment.

Even more, the AVCHD movie files recorded with HD Camcorders can also be converted from 2D to 3D. * Except for 1080/60p,1080/50p movie files recorded with Panasonic HD Camcorder.

Set the GUI screen background for your Blu-ray Disc player to any image you want. For example, you can use a photo that you took with a digital camera and stored onto an SD Memory Card.

A sensor is now provided on the top panel of the Blu-ray Disc player. The disc tray can be opened or closed by simply passing your hand over the sensor. This is very useful when your hands are full or when you’re in a dark room and can’t see the buttons clearly.

Advanced 2D image technology accumulated over the years at the Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory (PHL) has also been applied to 3D image playback, allowing high quality images to approach original film quality. Lifelike 3D images with dramatic leaping effects and enhanced depth, lustre and texture are beautifully reproduced.

Using DLNA technology, the BDT-210 can access files on the DLNA Server compliant PC or HD recorders (DIGA). By simply connecting to home network (LAN), you can enjoy AVCHD, WMV, and JPEG on your PC or AVCHD files and recorded programmes on your DIGA. VIERA CAST and other online content can be enjoyed wirelessly by accessing your Wireless LAN router.

Viera Link

Simply press the VIERA Link button on the VIERA's remote control and select "Player" on the VIERA Link Menu screen. The Blu-ray Disc player's menu will display on the TV screen, and you can begin playback of a Blu-ray disc or select from the Blu-ray disc menu.

SD Card Slot/USB Input
The DMP-BDT210 is equipped with a card and USB slot that makes it easy to transfer images from an HD camcorder or digital still camera that uses SD/USB Memory. Simply insert the memory module, and the DMP-BDT210 fills a large-screen TV with AVCHD-format video images (not USB) or JPEG stills in full 1920x 1080 resolution. You can also playback MP3, and DiVX/DiVX HD/MKV files.

To get the best HD images from a BD-Video disc, you need a player that renders high-quality progressive images, expresses motion smoothly, and draws sharp diagonal lines. The DMP-BDT210's P4HD processes more than 15 billion pixels per second and applies the optimum processing to every pixel in the video data on the disc. The result is images with exceptional resolution.
PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus is a high quality image-processing technology developed by Panasonic to precisely process each pixel of the Blu-ray Disc video signal in the vertical direction. It reproduces colour data with twice the accuracy of conventional systems to keep colours faithful and sharp. P4HD processes more than 15 billion pixels per second and applies the optimal processing to every pixel. So that it can render progressive images superbly, expresses motion smoothly, and draws crisp diagonal lines."

Panasonic's 4:4:4 pulldown
Panasonic's developed high-precision 4:4:4 signal technology also processes each pixel of the Blu-ray Disc video signal in the horizontal direction, to complement vertical direction processing. When viewed on a VIERA high-end model, which features 4:4:4 signal compatibility, it recreates images with the original film quality to further enhance movie enjoyment.

HDMI V.1.4a with Deep Colour
The DMP-BDT210's HDMI output is Deep Colour compatible. While the earlier HDMI V.1.2 offers 8-bit, 256-step gradation, HDMI V.1.3a bumps it all the way up to 12-bit, 4,096-step gradation. This helps the DMP-BDT210 reproduce natural looking colours with smooth gradation and minimal colour banding.

The DMP-BDT210 provides 1080/24p output (via HDMI). It reproduces movie images from a Blu-ray Disc in their original 24p form, with no need for conversion. You see movies in the same format used in movie theatres.

DivX/DivX HD/MKV Playback
The DMP-BDT210 is able to play video data recorded onto a CD-R/CD-RW or DVD-R/DVD-R DL in the DivX/DiVX HD/MKV format.
